With a beer in one tentacle and a book in another, Paper Darts is taking back the lit scene, one lame pen and quill metaphor at a time.

We are primarily a magazine, but we are also a publishing press, a creative agency, a community, and an idea.

More than double the size of Paper Darts’ previous print magazines, Volume Four is obscenely huge, featuring a swelling handful of authors, artists, and musicians who have made a blood oath vowing to explore nonconforming perspectives of art and culture.

Writing

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

Beauties at the Book Fest

With the launch of Paper Darts Volume Four on Thursday and the Twin Cities Book Festival on Saturday, it was a lit-packed kind of weekend.

I was slightly skeptical about the book festival this year. For one, how could it ever live up to last year's where I got to see Kevin Sorbo? For two, the location moved so I wouldn't be able to sneak out mid-day for drinks at Eli's, wtf Rain Taxi.

Despite these tragedies, the book festival, as always, was the-place-to-be for Minnesota's biggest and smallest publishers. Here's a look at some of our favorites:

Stampede Press

Revolver and Thirty Two

Milkweed Editions and The Loft Literary Center

Uncivilized Books

Lowbrow Press and Birds, LLC
